Collography is a graphic method that is simple-difficult. You make the sheet of cardboard that is not acid-free. On the plate you can cut out figures or work upwards with glue and various materials that give structure. I have sometimes glued lace from old sheets on the plate.  Schelack is used to make the plate strong and to withstand water.you can also use bone wax not as durable but ok.or water-based hobby varnish. Nowadays I use graphic colors from FPgravyr. The images are printed in a graphic print on moist copperprintingpaper.
